This policy explains what information R2A Academy (operated by AI2N.AI) collects from students, teachers, and schools using this platform, and how it is used, stored, and protected.
Information we collect
- Account information: display name, username, email address, school affiliation, and role (student, teacher, or admin).
- Learning activity: module and course progress, XP and level, evidence submissions, bookmarks, and engagement statistics (weekly goals, streaks).
- Communications: questions asked to the Robot Buddy AI tutor, and any support messages sent to us.
- Technical data: basic device and browser information needed to operate the platform securely.
How we use this information
We use collected information to operate your account, track and display your learning progress, personalize the Robot Buddy tutor's responses, generate certificates and evidence records, and communicate with you about your account (including password resets).
Who can see your data
Your learning progress and submitted evidence are visible to your teachers and school administrators for grading and academic oversight. We do not sell student data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.
Data storage and security
Data is stored on Microsoft Azure infrastructure with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt hashing. Access to student records is restricted to authorized school staff and platform administrators.
Data retention
We retain account and learning-progress data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to support certificate verification and academic records. You or your school may request deletion of your account data, subject to any academic record-keeping requirements your school is subject to.
Children's privacy
R2A Academy serves K-12 learners. Where a student is enrolled through their school, the school acts as the primary point of consent and contact for that student's data. Parents or guardians with questions about their child's data should contact their school or reach us directly at the address below.
Your choices
You can update your display name and password at any time from Settings. To request a copy of your data or its deletion, contact us using the details below.
